WMW 21mm serpentine belt tensioner tool

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $32
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60
Location (Region): NorCal
Item Condition: Brand New

***SOLD***

Drive belt tool for R56, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60 by Way Motor Works. See here:

http://www.waymotorworks.com/belt-to...8-r60-r61.html

This tool is used to turn the belt tensioner so you can remove the accessory drive belt. Without this tool, you have to remove the headlight. Way sells these as a pair, one tool for the older tensioner with a 21mm 12 point head, one for the the newer design that has a 30mm 6 point head.

This is the 21mm tool ONLY - still in the wrapper.

I used the 30mm on my car this morning and it made changing the belt incredibly easy.

1) raise the car and remove the right front wheel
2) remove a bunch of plastic expanding retainers and 2 T-30 screws, then remove the wheel well liner
3) put this wrench on the tensioner, rotate, pop in the retaining pin
4) pull the tab to release the friction wheel
5) remove old belt
6) fit new belt
7) grab the wrench again, another tug on the tensioner to release the retaining pin then let the tensioner go back to work
8) push the tab on the friction wheel back into place
9) replace wheel well liner and fasteners
10) replace wheel.

DONE.

Really fast and easy. If you have to replace your accessory drive belt you should have this tool.

The pair is $65, I'm selling the 21mm tool which I don't need for $32 plus shipping plus paypal fees. Check to make sure this is the right tool for your tensioner.

EDIT: My bad, I didn't read that through thoroughly enough. That won't fit my car at all.

I just went out to see if my 2007 MCS used a 21mm but I can't see it! If this wrench fits the early 2nd gen N14, what is your best price shipped to 89118? Thanks in advance

Sorry for the delay responding, I was out of the country. If the tensioner was replaced, it is possible that it is the 30mm version. It's easy to see, look down next to the dipstick. Here's a picture of the tensioner on my car, with the 30mm 6 point head circled in green.

That's NOT a match for the tool offered here. The tool offered is the 21mm is for the 21mm 12 point head.

I'll do $30 shipped, Paypal fees included. PM me.

That tool saves so much friggin hassle. I had to replace my serp belt over the weekend and learned the hard fun way how to take out the headlight and whatever you'd call that metal bracket that goes around the front of the engine bay. My favorite part of that night was the misdiagnosis that my tensioner was bad and it ended up being a belt with a chunk half the width of the belt missing, so I have a working tensioner and a new tensioner lol.
