I'm sure you'll find some if you are persistent.

Although a longshot it may be worth hawkeyeing a salvage site, because you never know what may show up, I've never actually used one of those sites so I don't know how the registration process goes, and hell, I ain't even got a MINI yet LOL, but I already wanna have a parts car and was slightly surprised to see that the cars aren't completely stripped down, I'll be keeping an eye on this local example and see what it sells for:
https://www.autobidmaster.com/en/car...LANTA_WEST_GA/

If you're willing to pay across-the-pond shipping rates, it seems that these seats are more common over there and you could keep an eye out on the UK and DE sites.

I'm not really sure what the "Kleinanzeigen" variant is,
but here's some seats listed there:
https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-...24474-223-1889

.

eBay has some F56 seats....seems like I saw some at AllMag as well. I have some F56 seats - have installed the drivers seat, but not the passenger seat, yet. I had some help from a MINI tech - he did the wiring. I'm planning on diagramming the wiring that he did for my passenger side. Had to get chassis side connectors from AllMag.

Yummy... I'd rock those. How did they fit? Oh I guess no airbags then?

Nice, wish they had air bags…. Or even the sensors on them would be nice.

Depending on the damage from the air bag deployment, you shoulda grabbed them! I got a set of lounge leather seats that one of the side bags had deployed. Had them restitched and you can't tell anything was wrong.

How many of you out there really care about this? I don't carry passengers and rarely need to fold either seat forward to carry stuff, or extract it from the boot/seat.
I'm sure these have sold by now, unfortunately.

I wonder how different the roadster seats actually are, and if the seat back realease is just not hooked up or can easily be retrofitted?

Good luck with your search. For the JCW Recaros, check with Schmiedmann in Denmark. They had the best price a few years ago, cheaper than non-airbag Recaro CS’s, but double check on the shipping cost as it comes up very cheap at checkout, and an email might come later with an extra charge for shipping.

If you’re lucky you’ll find a pair of the R56 Recaros with the 1st gen JCW logos. Unfortunately, these were mismatched. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...jcw-seats.html

If you look At least one set of second hand sportster/CS Lotus, Ford, Renault all available on uk eBay,
From £1400 to £1900 most weeks

Or individual seats direct from recaro, or their dealers for not that much more.

the Jcw logo cannot be that important you would stay stock ?
If so It's easy enough to reproduce if you know the right people and are happy to pay

Can someone confirm that the seat rails can be adapted to make said other OEM seats fit? There are quite a few sets on ebay that range from $2k up to $4kish.

Just an update we do have another solution. Its not the factory JCW euro recaros but we carry the Sportster CS (pretty much the same seats) and others soon. They dont have the JCW logo or airbags, but do come in other colors and options plus they have heated options.

They will fit with modding the factory Recaro seat sliders as noted.

You don’t need the silly seat airbags. You just add a resistor for the seat and all the other airbags work fine. It did this on my car years ago.

Also try looking for old Mitsubishi Eva IX seats as they are the same thing and very comfortable and have adjustable backs.

I have had them in my car for years and love them.

No air bag option ones, most people do the resistor mod on the factory plug under the seat and also on the passenger seat do the OCC mod so the passenger airbag warning light doesn't come on.
