I haven't figured out where to fairly price this yet. Just threw a number up-open to thoughts/offers. I've had it for 3 years, bought with under 40K on it. I took care of it like I was going to have it forever. I have about $12K invested in it in primarily maintenance. I had a valve burn at the beginning of the year, the head was rebuilt, it failed again about a month later. Now 10K after something happened in the #3 cylinder. There is 0 compression, maybe a broken ring or? I think something was overlooked in the original repair job. It still runs, but is not really driveable. I will post up more details as far as what's been done soon. It is very clean inside, lovely brown leather interior. Custom wood shift ****. It lived in TX before me so it hasn't been subject to northeastern winters very much. The underside is very clean. Original sticker on this was over $40K
Here's what's been done in my 3 ish years of ownership in reverse order:
Thermostat housing/connecting pipe
Valve cover/PCV
Rebuilt head/all new everything
Front/Rear rotors pads (drilled/slotted front)
Brake system flush
lower crank seal
HPFP
water pump
engine belt
O2 sensors
Turbo (Frankenturbo)
Battery
Tires good
Snow tires on original wheels (possibly included with sale)
Custom Amboyna wood shift **** kit (over $200)
Hidden Hitch (only used for bike rack-never towed)
LED interior light kit
Alcantara steering wheel
Phone holder
Timing chain kit

I bought a similar car with slightly less miles for 4200 that had a burnt valve. I did the work and saved a bunch. enjoyed the car for few months and sold it to a nice guy. JCW has a kick to it, I love them...GLWS.

Thanks-I love it. I just still haven't been able to pay the bill for the head rebuild. I'm just hoping to get what I can and get as close to ground zero as I can, I don't have any more money or time to fix. Someone who can DIY can have a great car I'm sure.

Does this have the chocolate brown lounge leather interior? If so, you should definitely mention it .. far better than the brown cloth Mini put in a lot of these!!
You should just list the VIN so that people can run a VIN report.

Entertaining offers-
I don't really want this to continue to sit. It does currently run, although not really drivable, it doesn't look likely that I will try to fix it myself. Could be a great vehicle for someone who can handle the project.

Here's an interesting update: The guy who bought my car pulled the head and found a valve with a chunk out of it. The dealer told me it needed an engine, cylinder 3 walls were badly scored, probably broken rings, and the valves were fine. It had a 2 year parts and labor warranty on the work done-full top end rebuild. End result: I sold the car for much less than it was worth running, I spent a fortune on the top end work. (mistake having the dealer do it in the first place, but 2 year warranty good in theory) The guy who bought it can have it fixed under warranty. I will be visiting the dealer shortly, I'm giving myself time to wind down a bit so I don't choke someone out.

My first plan is to talk to the dealer and give them the chance to make it right, then corporate HQ, then court if needed. Then, also if needed, blanket the internet with the story including evidence.
