Calling all Mid West Coopers! River City MINI Rally June 21 & 22 2008
St Louis MINI Club and Chicago MINI Driving Group welcome you to the
inaugural River City MINI Rally in Peoria IL. Peoria is an oasis in the
flatlands of central Illinois. Motoring into the picturesque Illinois
River Valley of Peoria is a relief from the miles of corn and beans. This
is a FREE event.

Event Hotel Stoney Creek Inn,
http://www.stoneycreekinn.com/locati...m?LocationID=5 is offering us a discount rate of $89.00 and special parking for our Coopers. Just call them at 309-694-1300 ask for a room in the River City MINI Rally
block. Please sign up below to allow us to plan for the right number of
guests. At this time we are planning for 50 Coopers and 75 guests, but
would love to see the numbers grow. The following information will be
updated has we get closer and have a better idea of how many are coming.
Event Outline
Sat June 21st
11 am Start with a Meet and Greet at Sonic Drive-In, 245 Farmdale Road, East Peoria IL 61611 for lunch. Budget

2 pm Five Card Cooper Run.
5 pm Group Photo by River.
Free Time Sat night.
Sun June 22nd
FREE Sunday morning expanded continental breakfast for hotel guests.
Sunday morning drive will start at event hotel.
9 am Fun Drive to Wheel O' Time www.wheelsotime.org
Noon Wheel O' Time. This will be the end of the event, we hope you will stay and enjoy WOT before heading home or finding lunch.

Sounds like a great event, we look forward to being there. We will have a boot full of items for sale.
How about having a "Garage Sale" of every one's extra MINI parts too.

 

Donna and I will be there with two guests. That's four bodies and one MINI that you can add to the count. See you then!

 

That sounds great! I will get a few Minis to caravan there! For midwesterners who want to do a great rally(drive/cruise in) check out "HUGE EVENT IN CLEVELAND OHIO" for 5/18!

We will be there, but the hotel does not accept pets. So will make other hotel arrangements. So if anyone else was planning on bringing their pets, Baymont in Peoria accepts them.

 

This is Terri, I'm the local here in Peoria. Hope to see a bunch of MINI's for the event Jun 21-22. We'll have some nice routes to enjoy the area and stretch our motoring tires a bit. Photo ops are nice with river as back ground.

 

We will be coming over for the fun!!

 

Sounds like fun!! Phyllis & I will be there. Let's get together and drive up as a group from STL. Has anyone coordinated this yet?
