There is no resonator located there on the stock R53. The passenger side suitcase on the exhaust is the resonator.

LED's are not an equivalent to the OEM Halogen or Xenon's. Plenty of side by side test to show this. They are nice and bright, but the "throw" of the light is much worse.

It may not be filter oil. Filter oil is very sticky, if the oil in the IC is slippery you have an excess of blowby from PCV.
And the filters need a cleaning yearly at a minimum.
