That is actually the factory 25% LSD. It looks like an open diff, but it is the actual factory LSD.

I would replace with a Quaife as it works much better....

Yes the harmonic balancer is the most common thing to cause the 1688 code and it can be intermittent like that until it fully fails. Go with the ATI Damper when you do replace it.

The rear sway bar is the biggest improvement in handling, but the braces do seem to help with body flex so they are still a good mod. Plus they are easy to install....

But the body braces underneath we do see improvement. I've been using the Chassis Bones version as they fit perfect and are cost effective...
