The piece protects the soft fuel line from the upper engine mount. The small end fits over the hard line, bulge over the crimp fitting, and the bend follows the hose toward the engine.

You haven't told us how many miles are on the car but, since you're after comfort, don't go with coil-overs. IMHO, just keep your stock springs, buy the KONI FSD's, replace your upper strut mounts...

Just put on coil overs, sway bar and braces. I would recommend the 25mm sway bar and body braces. Craven Speed Braces are good but the Chassis Bones Body Braces do the same thing and are $80 cheaper.
