Alain Lauzière, driver of the GO FAST Sports- Octane Motorsport MINI Cooper S, crossed the finish line in fourth place in the Touring class, part of the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship race, that ran at Calabogie Motorsports Park on Saturday July 25, 2009. On the Sunday race that ran part of the Ted Powell memorial event, Lauzière finished in 5th position.

“It was a challenging weekend” admitted the driver of the MINI Original Accessories MINI Cooper S. “Our qualifying session did not go very well, we had to start the Saturday race in 8th position. We were able to climb back-up to the 4th position on Saturday. During the Sunday event, our new race muffler installed for this event disintegrated and we did not have the power to compete” explained Lauzière.

The GoFast Sports-Octane team will be back on-track on August 14-16 for the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix.
