REME Santa Cruz Mountains Run
Revised Run Map
An updated map is posted on the REME Web Site. It looks like it will be nice weather too. Vito's Trattoria in San Jose is now closed on Saturdays for lunch. A new restaurant will be posted shortly.
Santa Cruz Mountains Run Update
UPDATE: We will be leaving promptly at 9:30am from Doc's Bagels at 1027 Alameda De Las Pulgas in or near the Carlmont Village Shopping Center. This run starts in the Belmont-San Mateo area with a brief pick up for members at the Half Moon Bay Coffee Company at 10am. The run ends up with a late lunch in San Jose at Chevy's Fresh Mex at 1502 Saratoga Avenue at about 3:00pm. download the revised map prior to leaving on the run.
Only two things I'm aware of...
Tunitas creek will be slow. Beautiful but slow. It's very rough. Also, west on 84, right after the red barn, are some doosie of some bumps. There are signs saying they're coming. But they are REAL BAD, and you have to go over them very slow. The roadbed there started to slide with all the rains.

A stop at Pigeon Point Light Station has been added to the per the suggestion of Dr Obnxs. The Station parking lot is 2.4 miles north of map point 20. At map point 20 (Highway 1 & Gazos Creek Road) we will make a right turn rather than the left that shows on the pdf file map on the REME web site. Map handouts will be available at San Mateo and Half Moon Bay. After the Station stop we will go south on Highway 1 to map point 21 (Swanton Road).

. They were having a overnight camping/ralley ride up by Big Basin. You can guess what the theme was
! How do I know this? My hubby and co-pilot is a member. I told them about the run and they co-ordinated it so everyone didn't bump into each other and cause a traffic jam
