Oil Catch Cans for Paceman?

Hi Paceman family!
I'm a new happy JCW Paceman owner!

Any thoughts or experience on Oil Catch Cans for the turbo models and if they're needed for out Pacemans? Seems like 2nd Gen Mini's suffer from oil issues and intake valves being covered up in gunk.
This topic makes me a little nervous and I'm trying to tackle areas of concern for my new Paceman.

Your thoughts, suggestions and experience would be greatly appreciated.:)

The N14 motors need a catch can but the N18’s don’t really need one. I have seen N18’s with way over 100,000 miles and the valves look good. Save your money :)

Thanks for the reply.
If there is one to choose, would you recommend any particular brand for an oil catch can? M7 seems to have no baffles so it seems potentially useless.

I ask this question because having my husbands 05 Subaru STi since new...one of the first modifications for helping it be more reliable was purchasing an Air oil separator system/ AKA: Oil catch can.
Being that my JCW Paceman is quite new...Only 23k miles it 🙂 I’m looking to make it more reliable ASAP so I thought this would be a great first modification for reliability.
At first I said to myself that I won’t power mod my Pace JCW but 😌 after reading about some basic ECU modifications... I think I might consider lol... something like the JB Ecu tune or NM tune might be perfect for me.

Any thoughts?🙃

We seen some people with them on there N18 engines. As the n18 does not produce as much vapor or tend to have smoother systems with the PCV update,. Some people have seen them to be helpful

What sizes are the catch can hoses that are needed (outside and inside diameters), as I'm looking into the ECS universal kit and hardware and would like to know what hoses are needed to adapt the kit?

Anyone has any suggestions on hoses sizes and types to connect ECS's universal catch can system?

Looking forward to a reply..:)
