Thinking of getting rid of my 19" wheels

1. Even though I got rid of the run flats and I'm using larger tires, the ride is still way too hard for my liking.
2. Put the new tires on about 20,000 and 2 years ago, they're already getting pretty worn. So I really don't want to keep putting $1,500.00 worth of tires on every 2 years.
3. I'm looking to lower the suspension and the larger wheels/ tires will probably get in the way.

Looking for options/ sizes/ setback/ offset suggestions etc....thinking of these http://my.wheelpros.com/browse-wheels.cfm

They are 18", but really would like to go to 17" or maybe even 16".

I have 3 yrs and 40K miles on my Falken non run flat 19's. They have been great tires. I will need to change them before winter. I am not sure going to an 18 or even 17 inch rim would help the ride that much, maybe? I have not tried. I have 18's coming on my new CM.
