Installing R60/R61 OEM LED License Plate Lights and OEM LED DRLs! (VIDEO)

Hi Guys!

My bro and I made this video about installing OEM license plate lights from the new Clubman F54/Last generation Z4. It is the same overall size and shape as the oem Paceman/Countryman and looks way better than ANY aftermarket. The problem with aftermarket is that they don't work well in the cold in Canada, they don't fade on and off nicely or they are WAY too bright. Just changing the light bulb out might produce an error message, or cause blinking if you don't code out the errors. Also, an LED bulb in the oem housing doesn't spread the light evenly. I tried everything before I did this.

I had to change the plug first so that it can take the new LED module and then swap the modules. Super easy, no cutting or anything is required.

Then we installed the OEM LED DRLs on the paceman and turned off DRLs via coding that into the iDrive.

Here was the install instructions for changing out the connector and part numbers:

Update on Ultra Racing braces:
https://ultraracing-usa.com has many of their braces with lower shipping than ECS.
$125 for direct ship from ECS, $38 for the 6 point brace by weight from ultraracing-usa.
ECS's shipping charge seems to be the same for one or for several items, so if ordering several at once, they may be less expensive than ultraracing-usa.
