Rear Sunroof Doesn't Move
I'm pretty sure this must be a mis-print in the owner's manual, but it says that both the front and rear sunroofs should tilt up, and the front one should slide open. Only my front sunroof moves at all -- is that normal? The rear one is totally fixed in place. Can anyone else confirm how their sunroof works?
From the Paceman Manual: Tilting > Press the switch backward to the resistance point and hold it there. Both glass roofs are tilted. Releasing the switch stops the movement. > With the ignition switched on, press the switch backward beyond the resistance point. Both closed roofs are tilted fully. Pressing again stops the movement |
We had a Paceman loaner for 2 weeks, the Countryman and Paceman share the manual and the CM has double tilt sunroof but the Paceman only had the front sunroof tilt and slide. When I was looking at it it seems the Paceman rear sunroof looks smaller than the Countryman one.

That's the first thing I noticed after taking delivery on my Paceman. The dealer said he thought the mechanism to open it was there (don't know how he figured that) but was not connected. The other Paceman on the lot also had fixed rear panels.

Thanks! That is kind of what I was thinking. The manual usually calls out differences between the Paceman and Countryman, but I guess they just missed this one.

Yep, I would like to know the reason behind that though, it's curious. Between that and the rear seats that don't fold flat. Two design differences that just don't make any sense to me.

Are you saying that you’re rear seats don’t drop down? We just got our Paceman at the weekend and we already had the rear seats folded down. |
