leaking brake booster tube

leaking brake booster tube

the tube that goes from the vacuum pump to the brake booster on my 15 paceman S All4 has been leaking what looks to be engine oil (see pic), which runs down onto the exhaust. Ive replaced the vacuum pump (which didn't fix it so I put the old one back on). I then replaced the tube (also didnt fix it). Oil level doesn't seem to be going down anymore than normal. I read online that it could be brake fluid leaking through the tube from the booster, but brake fluid isn't going down, and it definitely looks and smells like engine oil.

Any ideas why this is leaking, and how to fix it? Oil drips on the ground, and burning oil on the exhaust is no fun.

It could be engine oil…. Maybe the oring seal in the tube connector is t sealing anymore? Since it’s a vacuum pump, I wouldn’t expect anything to be coming OUT of that connection…

yep, I replaced the tube, and oring already, with no luck. Ill keep investigating. thanks
