Doors won't unlock

Hello all.

I just bought a new to me 2014 Countryman All4 S that has an interesting problem. Both passenger side doors will not unlock. The key, unlock switch in the car and pulling the handles do nothing. When the handles are pulled, the lock knob pops up but then drops again after releasing the handle. All other doors can be unlocked and opened with all switches and buttons. The previous owner assured me that it was working perfect before. There is power to the doors as the lights and windows are still working normally. I checked fuses and all is well there too.

Has anyone out there experienced anything like this before? I don't want to have to take it to the dealer if I don't have to.

Any chance you figured this out? I'm having the same problem with the rear passenger door.

I did get it fixed. The solution was to replace the door latch assembly. It was tricky removing the door panel without being able to open the doors, but a lot patience and a little brute force got it off.

I appreciate the response I'll look into that.
