Throttle Hesitation when Accelerating

my 2013 justa Countryman hesitates about 45% of the time when accelerating from a full stop. when i give it gas it's normal for about a second and then hesitates and is back to normal. it also does it when driving normally and let go of the throttle and get back on it (for example letting go of the throttle on the highway to slow down a bit and getting back on the throttle). i replaced the spark plugs and coils at around 48k miles and im at 58k now. i have no mods besides a resonator delete & aftermarket muffler.

i'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how did they fix it? i've taken it to the dealership a few times for this but as always they tell me "couldn't replicate."

One of 3 things.. bad coil, bad plug or failing HPFP. IF you didn't use OEM coils check them.

I had this issue and it turned out to be worn out plugs. Start by looking there and then work your way up to more compolicated / expensive problems

Well i just finished fixing mine tonight. Had a throttle hesitation around 1800 - 2100 rpm and when coasting and again if i ran it hard for a while and throttled back. Pulled the plugs & coils (2 plugs needed replacement) and there was a bit of oil laying down in the spark plug hole in 2 cylinders and actually about a 1/4" of oil in one of them. So I removed the valve cover and found 2 of the spark plug hole grommets had worn which allowed oil into the spark plug holes. Installed new plugs / coils and a valve cover gasket set along with a new air filter while i was at it and now it runs just like new again.
