SPC Lower Control Arm Loosening - Scary!!
Hey Guys,
I just got home and checked the rear wheels and noticed that one wheel the camber is CRAZY off. I'm so glad I went to check because I feel like if I drive the car any more it the wheel would just come loose where it comes to the lower control arm.
I just installed a set of SPC lower control arms a week ago and this happened. Is it a problem with the arms themselves or is it because the nuts were not tightened enough?
It actually really worries me, now that I think about it the adjustable arms aren't really designed so well. What are all your thoughts? Anybody experienced this before?

Have not seen that before, did you follow the instructions?

Looks like you did not tighten them down all the way. Can you spin the inner rod by hand. I don't see anything broken ?
Also you can post in this section for the Countryman, https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...yman-talk-355/
you are in Gen 3 right now.

Very likely you forgot to tighten them.
This is why after you torque safety-critical bolts you mark their position with a paint marker. It's a verification you torqued it correctly plus you can easily see if the fastener has loosened.
On a related note; is your ride height or alignment requirements so different that the OEM eccentric cam can't adjust it enough?
