Wierd electrical with new 2014 Countryman?

Hi all, new owner for exactly one week. I've noticed that when I pull into my garage after work and turn off my Countryman, I sometimes hear an electrical whine from under the hood. Not really a fan noise. Sometimes it stops on its own. Sometimes if I start the car, reverse, park, then turn off, it stops. Today I noticed that the red P on my auto transmission won't unlight with the car off and remote away from it. Never noticed if that stayed on before or not - is that normal? I'm worried something isn't right. Thanks anyone with any input

I believe what you are hearing is an auxiliary pump cooling the turbo ( if you have an S). I can't say about the P light.

Both normal.

Your start/stop button will also be on for some time.

Great thanks. It felt weird that the on/off button would stay lit for a time then go off, BUT that the P on the gearshift stayed on permanently.

The P stays on for a long time after 30 minutes it will disappear. They want to be sure that the gear is in P so that the car will never roll away.
