Coolant leaking from reservoir cap?
Coolant leaking from reservoir cap?
I have noticed that after driving my 2012 Countryman S, I start to hear a slight 'hissing' 'gurgling' sound coming from the coolant reservoir tank...sounds like air being sucked into the tank thru the cap, although very slowly.
I just checked the reservoir tank and noticed dried coolant all around the bottom of the cap, down the side of the reservoir and on all the bits below the reservoir.
The tank was not filled over the 'full' mark, but is now sitting at the 'low' mark on the tank. The cap is tight, and you can see the dried white residue all over the inside of the cap.
Anyone else seen this on their CM?
Thanks.

I've only had the problem of coolant leaking from the bottom hose while moving the tank out of the way for access to the oil filter.
Definitely sounds like a defective cap or reservoir tank. This should be something for the dealer to take a look at, let us know what they say.
