Two nagging issues, one new one.

I bought my 2012 Mini Countryman S All4 in April of this year, and overall, it has been a pretty good car. Sitting at about 77K miles.

I had an odd thing that has been nagging me for a few months, and am wondering if I am the only one.

If I give it moderate to hard acceleration following either a downhill coast, or a cruise at low RPM, the Yellow "reduced engine power" half filled engine indicator will pop up about 1/3 of the time. Shutting the car off, then stepping into the throttle hard will clear the light.

Not sure where to start, and the dealership wants to charge me $5K to replace the turbo and a computer.

The second issue is that sometimes, the cooling fan runs for about 60 seconds after I park the car. Just not sure if this is normal behavior or not.

The last thing which just popped up today (thanks to a snowy mess) is I seem to have lost my All4 AND traction control. Was trying to pull up my dad's driveway and nothing happened. The car just flashed 4x4! at me on the dash and I slid backwards while the traction control light was also solid illuminated. It was like I was REV limited at very low RPM, and I had no way to move my car. Had to get a running start.

Any suggestions? I have ordered a OBDII scanner for Christmas, and my Mechanic can take a look at it Monday, but if I need to drive somewhere I want to be sure this isn't going to get suddenly worse.

I would not drive that car at all until it is diagnosed. The All4 is an expensive item and if it is damaged you don't want to make it worse. As soon as I see a warning light I look into immediately, never let them be "nagging", get to it!

The All4 issue popped up today for the first time.

The yellow light reduced engine power has been on and off and occasionally an issue.

Your fan staying on is normal.

The CEL I would suggest plugs and coils before spending high dollars on testing.

The Reduced Engine Power thing only happens after I coast for a while or barely have the gas down (low RPM) then need to accelerate or give it gas up a hill.

When this happens, the turbo seems disabled. I had read a thread (of course, cannot find it now) that talked about a boost pressure sensor fault, anyone have experience there?

Thoroughly check your turbo control vacuum lines before replacing the expensive components for the "reduced power" light. They're between the vacuum pump, vac reservoir, boost converter and waste gate actuator.
