Key not unlocking car but will turn on car with all engine lights on

Key not unlocking car but will turn on car with all engine lights on
09 mini cooper clubman type s
after dinner last night when I went to unlock my car with the standard circle looking key I think it's called a fob. Sorry I'm a newbie. The car will not unlock but the inside lights came on and also the warning light that there is engine issue came on that looks like the car is up on stand. Was able to get the window down and I to the car. Car turned on fine but every engine light was on. Abs, check engine, warnings everything. My gas tank measurements were not on and my speed odometer was not working at all, but my ac and radio worked.
Any ideas?
