High Pressure Fuel Pump Sensor Adapter??

I needed to change the HPFP for 2012 Mini Countryman. Got the part in and it's almost identical to the one I removed except for the sensor plug. My old one is larger than the new one and will not fit. Any ideas where I can possibly get the correct adapter if one is even available? Picture attached.

My first question would be why is it different? Is it a different part number? Where did you get the pump? Is it compatible to the original one regarding pressure and so forth?

I called Pelican Parts and they said that their site does not allow you to put in vin numbers so the part is slightly off. They do have an adapter and I am waiting on that to arrive now. For future reference for anyone ordering mini parts on Pelican, call and speak with John at ext 260 to make sure you get the correct part.
