+1 on darex. Your new Countryman will ship from Zeebrugge in Belgium after being shipped over from the Ned car factory in Born. Start watching the WWL ship schedules. If you are lucky you will get on a WWL ship and can track everything by vin#. Which port are you delivering to? That helps figure out your ship.

 

It looks like July may be the busiest month due to the release of 2018 models. My car has been sitting there for more than 10 days at the port and is waiting for next vessel to Port of Baltimore

 

The early July sailings are also messed up since the ship schedules get juggled the end of June to make as many departures the last week with month and quarter to support the shipping lines other customers. This means few sailings the 1st 10 days of July and then it takes a while for the bubble created to get caught up.

Called Mini and they said people also called about the next vessel assignment. Cars may be shipped out this week

Today, the BMW Group announced that the new battery-electric MINI will be a variant of the brand’s core 3 door model. This fully electric car will go into production in 2019, increasing the choice of MINI powertrains to include petrol and diesel internal combustion engines, a plug-in hybrid and a battery electric vehicle. The electric MINI’s electric drivetrain will be built at the BMW Group’s e-mobility centre at Plants Dingolfing and Landshut in Bavaria before being integrated into the car at Plant Oxford, which is the main production location for the MINI 3 door model.

Yes - active was in the package. Sure hope that isn't why after a week, I know NOTHING. $50k purchase you think there would be a thank you note from Mini and a ETA, but silence instead

 

Nothing is from Mini about the shipping status as of today. The car has been parking at the port for a while and Mini can not provide anything this time. Hope that I will hear from them this Friday

 

I had to remove Active Driving Assistant from my order, or face up to a 6-month delay. Wasn't happy about it!

For the folks who have received their SE's, what have people experienced on production to delivery (or port) timing?

I passed on allocation #1 and #2 from my dealer to make sure I got a post July 1 production date. Now I'm in the queue waiting to be picked up for (August) production. I keep saying I'm in no hurry, but I'm becoming less believable every day.

 

Have you put you vin number in the tracking on Wallenius site. You whole vin goes in cargo is Field. If they move it their scans are real time and update Mini about 3 days latter.

I have been tracking on the Wallenius site with the full VIN since my car was delivered to the port of exit and no records are found. Also called Mini and contacted my dealership and the status is always " Waiting for transport"

MA just called to tell me another slot opened up and my order is now accepted and should receive a production # within a week. Ordered with ADA so there apparently is not a problem with extra wait time.

Did you already have an anticipated production date? Mine is showing September. I guess I'm wondering if you are a step ahead of me.

 

No anticipated production date prior to today's confirmation that my July 6 order was accepted. Dealership only had one slot for the SE and that was taken when I ordered and was put on 'wait list'. MA said I should get a production # in a week and I wouldn't be surprised if I get a September production date as well. That seems realistic to me since EV numbers for July for US were just released yesterday. No updates on the SE as of yet. They sold 10 in June in US. Sales #'s are down around 7.9% with the Countryman being the strongest seller. Watching for update later this afternoon to see how many SE's were sold for July since it's been stated on this forum that ~ 415 will be available for build this year.

 

Thanks for the clarification. I updated my build to include the ADA today and my MA reported that my anticipated production date didn't change.

Hopefully our SE's will go to production soon! This wait is getting tough already.

 

It will be worth the wait I'm sure, especially built with your choices

Happy that you ordered the ADA Of course, there can always be unexpected delays but at least we will have our SE's sometime this Fall
