Confirmed Fitment: BMW Style 44 17x8 wheels

Finally had winter tires mounted and confirmed fitment. They fit with about 3mm of clearance between the front strut and rear inner wheelwell (the tires that is... wheels have more clearance). These wheels are prevalent on Craigslist and can be had for cheap.

Tires: General Altimax Arctic 12 225/55R17 (26.75" tall... or 2.5% taller than stock 225/40R19 tires)
Wheels: BMW "style 44" 17x8 +47 (powdercoated black)

those fit really nice. By chance, did you try anything bigger before landing on these?

I did not. There’s no way anything wider would fit on these wheels without spacers... the tires would rub on the strut and rear wheel well. Perhaps taller may fit? But these are already taller than stock.
