R60 Driving Lights Installation Instructions

Driving Lights Installation Instructions
Hey guys,
I recently purchased this Mini driving lights kit from Mini of Kennesaw: https://parts.miniofkennesaw.com/pro...120417885.html
And it didn't come with instructions, I was able to find installation instructions on this forum but when I started taking things apart, nothing matched the instructions.
Like where is the control unit to plug in the 9 pin relay socket? The diagrams show one thing and my car doesn't seem to match it. Does anybody know where I can download instructions specifically for an R60? Or does anybody know if there's a way to connect the lights straight to the headlight wiring?
Thanks so much.
Can't seem to find the control unit this goes into.

are these the instructions you found?

the factory kits are SO complicated ... have been since the beginning in 2002 (to meet state rules about extra lighting)
and don't come with instructions as the dealer was supposed to install the product - just like a factory oil change kit (filter, o-ring for canister and seal for the bung) does not include instructions on changing the oil
can you return the kit?
Buy a simple Hella or PIA kit and some brackets from outmotoring or other ..... turn the lights on and off when YOU want. But know that in states that inspect cars you may be out of compliance
Do you plan to ever turn the lights on? I've installed many sets for folks over the years and at least half just wanted the look and didn't care if they worked! I charge much less to mount but not wire.
on my 7-S I didn't get rear fogs but I hated the 'plugs' in the back where the rear fogs would go. So I bought the light units (not $$) .... replacing the plugs with the lens took 10 minutes. I got the look and never missed the functionality.

Thanks so much, Capt!
Ha! I get what you're saying. I got them mounted, but I could actually use auxiliary lights, we live out in the mountains, so the roads are very twisty and it gets dark.
I'm gonna try with these instructions, which look to be more accurate, I actually recognize stuff! Thanks again.

Not sure what part you're confused on. The kit is really straight forward, that pic you posted above is the female end for the relay that comes included in the kit that you plug into it.
You need to buy the trim piece that goes above the driver side kick panel that has the auxiliary light button and also the proper grill with the cutout. The grill comes with the brackets you need for install.
Follow the instructions carefully and it'll be extremely straight forward. Be sure to use the instruction that includes R60 countryman on the first page. The install instructions for the earlier R56 is a little difference where you connect one of the wire for the FRM.
You do not need any coding, the lights only work with the high beams on if you wire it based on the factory method. Yes, you can have your fogs stay on with high beam via coding.
If you need any help feel free to PM me.

I put a set of the factory Aux lights on my wife’s F55 the instructions for them were pretty straight fwd, I didn’t buy the panel for the light switch I did the mod to the existing headlight switch. Turned out pretty good, you put the Aux light switch where the rear fog light switch went. Excuse the one hole for the existing fog light switch I made that hole bigger by accident

Thanks, ssean72, I actually did the whole install today, and the only thing that lights up is that same auxiliary light button you have. THAT WORKS....
I don't know where I screwed up, do both foglights have to be connected to work, like a closed circuit?
Not sure where to go from here, definitely a pain in the ***.
