2011 Mini Countryman key fob, battery replacement
I have a 2011 Countryman. One of my Key fobs isn't working. Of course, I'd like to change the battery. This is a second generation fob, it is sealed, There is no place to lift or pry off the back, as a few videos on youtube show. How do I get it open?

You don’t, lol. I just had to replace mine because it stopped starting the car, but everything else with it worked still. You can take them apart and replace the battery yourself (according to MINI you cannot replace the battery unless you have comfort access) there are some videos on YouTube.
Basically you have to remove the metal ring, and then in the seam, use a box cutter or similar type of knife to slice it open all the way around, then you can pry it open. I did this, but was unable to fix it because my battery was still working fine. A few of the videos tell you the part # and where to get a replacement battery.
hope this helps!
