Hey guys hopefully you guys can help me. I am replacing the turbo on my 2012 r60s and the lower turbo coolant line is hitting the waste gate actuator. Ive been searching and seems like im the only one having this issue. Kind of at a loss as what would be the fix for this. Its a jmtc turbo
Yeah, I had to address that issue as well. What you need to do, this is directly from Arric at JMTC, is take that lower coolant line and trace it down to the auxiliary water pump. Now you need to loosen the clamp a little, and twist the hose around. You need to rotate it 180 degrees. Then the other end will fit on the turbo without interfering with the wastegate actuator.
Pro-tip: be careful when you do this! I was trying to rush through it and ended up breaking the nipple that the hose attaches to on the pump right off! It’s plastic and can get brittle from repeatedly heating up. And the pump is $110 to replace. Take your time and be gentle with it, but that’s how to make it work. Good luck.
