MINI Connected help

Hi

I have the nav. The first time I plugged my phone in to the USB
and also the 3.5 mm audio wire it worked. Has not worked since.

Says I have a device not recognized. (iPhone 6)

But it worked before.

Also, each time I must make it recognize the bluetooth not for the
phone but for podcasts.

It is really annoying.

I really wold like the MINI connected to work.

Any advice?

Are you using the MINI Y-Cable or just a separate USB and 3.5mm cable? The OEM Y-Cable is the only thing that will work

Thanks! Does it have to be OEM or can it be off eBay?

OEM. The 3rd party ones I've seen are VERY hit or miss.

I just tried connecting my iphone 11 to the MINI app/and my car, it asked me in the app to connect to car-which I went to MINI connected menu in car, it says the USB is not recognized (but I can play my music).....does it have to be a MINI cord? i have an oem cord, but its for the OLD style charger plug on my phone, not the new mini charger-any link to the OEM style cord? I can't find, the amazon one I bought clearly doesnt work.

The mini one seems to be the only one that works properly. Some of the third party ones sort of work, though none display the album art. Only three mini cable does that.
