How to tell if your Countryman is an LSI

hi all can you tell me how to tell if my new Countryman is an LSI or not it's a 2014 model but I'm not sure what to look for, it's a 1.6 S

MIminiclubman 07-22-2017 10:01 AM

What is LSI?

Chris Major 07-22-2017 02:25 PM

LCI sorry I is what BMW / Mini call the face lift, Life Cycle impulse

I believe that year as this year the changes were made with cars completing production in July. If you go to simmer.work and plug in the last 6 of your VIN it will give you the car spec and the production date.

R60 Countryman LCI started July 2014.

However the parts catalog doesn't list an R60 LCI model like R55, R56, R57: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do
I think the updates were too minor to get an official LCI designation.

There was an engine change to the S in 2014 to a more powerful yet suposidly economical engine so I'm trying to see if mine is the newer one

There was no engine change for the R60 Countryman. It has always used the N16 Cooper engine or the N18 Cooper S engine. The "LCI" was just minor visual changes: new grill, different body kit on ALL4 models, gauge changes....
