On top of that, all the hitches available are rated at 200 lbs tongue weight. That determines where the location of the axle of the trailer, and where the load is in relation to the axle.

A guy on the MTTS sheared his hitch system off towing a Teardrop trailer yesterday on the way home. My only guess is he had everything loaded in front of the axle.
