RockyMounts Pitchfork on Sale!
Amazon is selling the standard RockyMounts Pitchfork for about $70 (currently $68.37) this week. Unfortunately, I just bought two and can't take advantage. I thought I'd share because they tend to be pretty popular with those on NAM. These are the ones that are meant for round or square bars but can be easily and inexpensively converted (I confirmed with RockyMounts).
Then go an order one of each of these to convert to the Euro Pitchfork

$7.49 + $4.46 + about $2.99 Shipping
All included, you would spend about $83.31 plus state sales tax based upon where you live to get the Euro version that retails for $129.95 but is currently on Amazon for $97.46
You will be saving money and have a bike mount that works with Thule Squarebars, Yakima Roundbars, and the MINI OEM rack!
NOTE: I have no affiliation with RockyMounts, eTrailer, or Amazon. I just like good deals. You may also want to pick up a 4-pack of lock cores to lock the rack to your roof and the bike to the rack (2 per bike).

Yes, the pitchfork trays clear the hatch easily. Though when I have my mountain bike mounted to the rook (an XL 29er fully), the hatch glass taps the tire at the furthest point of swing, but it's not a big deal. It doesn't hit the tire of my road bike (shorter wheelbase).
I only have my rack mounted when I need it due to noise and fuel economy. I tend to use my wife's SUV to transport bikes the majority of the time.

Not the best angle, but here's a pic - with the front crossbar where it is and with my older, hardtail 26" bike, the tires don't even touch the hatch. With my 27.5" dual suspension bike, the hatch would bump against the tires...
