What have you Plastidipped in your Countryman???

I just bought a new (to me at least) Countryman. The car is in very good shape but the scuttles did look very dull. I decided to dip them and here is the result.

I love this stuff and I was wondering what have you guys dipped in your Countryman. Let's see some pics.

Nothing yet, but I got the kit to completely black out the wheels and hope to do it soon.

I've done the front and back headlight rings as well as the chrome liner below all the windows.

Gonna do the chrome grill and badges soon

Newbie question..... How long does plastidip last? I park out side in the sun and am concerned that it would wear quickly in my situation.

Thanks!!!

I've heard 3 years is typical. I've only had mine done for a few months.

Did you remove your side scuttles to dip?

Yes I did. It's easy. It only takes a minute. I also removed the back part in the center.

I've done the wheels, side scuttles, head and tail light rings, mirrors, and badging (wings and lettering). I peeled the mirrors for a redo. I'm planning to take the front bumper off to do a "dip bra" and do the beltline. The only chrome I'm going to have left on Storm is the front grill.

I'm even considering doing the roof.

Also interesting note about the wheels. I just had my tires rotated at the dealer and there was no visible damage to the dip. It has been on for about 1.5 months.

Top grill chrome ring

I removed the grill and popped off the chrome ring and plastidip it black. Now the top grill matches the bottom. Next its the brake vents in the bottom. A Coworker pointed out they are dark gray and not black. He is correct and now it bothers my OCD...

I did my grill trim in black and the mirror caps and brake ducts in red. Sorry for the crappy picture.

Hello axys

Looks great. The red mirror and the bake ducts is for the JCW designs package?

That's correct, but I couldn't find any for sale at the time so I just dipped mine.

There are really good "how to" videos on YouTube. This one in particular is the video I followed.

Youtube Search: Plasti Dip Mini Cooper Emblem Letters

Note: the guy in the video only covered a small area around the paint area. I covered a much larger area b/c removing the overspray is a pain in the butt.
