2012 Non "S" Countryman Base... i screwed up

I recently bought a 2012 Non "S" Countryman Base and i am curious on what the best options are to increase the HP. I know i should have done my research and got the S but my only options were automatics. I'm not looking for anything for racing or anything like that. I just want a little more punch.

Any advice would by greatly appreciated

There's not much you can do realistically and within reason, this isn't the first non-S thread about wanting more power. Power is why the S was created, if its power you want you'll need to buy an S model. It's that simple.

The "S"s that i had to choose from were automantic and i wanted a manual so and a Base was my only option.
I assumed i could add a few small output things to make up for the power. But it sounds like that was a bad thing to assume.
Now i feel like i im stuck with the base that is allergic to upgrades of any sort

The engines output is 118 hp and I believe the countryman weighs more than a hatchback coupe. You did one thing right for yourself, you got a manual. I'm assuming you dislike automatic transmissions, I also find them boring.

When I drive my mother's Lincoln LS V8 which reminds me of how fast a police cruisers are and even using the electronic 6 speed stick shift mode which scares the carp out of me I still find it boring! I'll never like automatic transmissions no matter how much HP is has, going fast is only part of the driving experience.

I think I might still enjoy a non-S hatchback or convertible coupe as long as it's a 6 speed manual. They can still corner very well and you can upgrade the suspension and lower it.

Best realistic option is to sell and replace it with an S. Normally aspirated engines don't respond to mods like turbo cars. It wouldn't be worth the time or money to try to increase the power for a daily driven car.

Had a base, couldn't stand the lack of power though it did like to rev and corner. I just always had to drive it like I was mad at it.

I'm much more satisfied with the S (All4). Trade it when it makes sense, don't invest in mods.

You might find a little comfort in knowing your n/a base model is considerably more reliable and problem free than any of the turbos.
