Not really clear on how much capacity is needed considering I went from 570CC. In anycase the H5 47class was the one that comes up as direct fit. Should be good. Just need the IBS reset. Does anyone know if the scan Tool https://www.fixdapp.com/ will reset?

I did it was $350 installed in Santa Monica. Unsure if that includes the reset not. So Im paying $150 for AGM at Costco plus $50 from my local mechanic if I cant find a scan Tool.

[QUOTE=bmwr606;4512956]Did you check with the local mini dealer for battery replacement? I checked all the usual aftermarket sources but then decided to check the dealer "just because".
The dealer was by far the cheapest. US$129.95, including the battery, tax, recycling fee, installation and coding (coding if necessary). That was for a sealed AGM type 700CC mini oem battery identical to the original battery from the factory (same part #).

What is the part #? Your Mini dealer must have made a price error as that is dirt cheap

Just had the battery done on our 16 CMSA4. Was about $328 at the dealer(Was actually cheaper than I was expecting which is kindof sad) My local shop didn't have a tool to do the reset. Since then, I did just buy a Carly.... so I can reset stuff on my own in the future. Also it worked great to do a little coding.

with Carly does it require their specific adapter? Yesterday I ordered APHIX handheld scan tool rom Amazon which is suppose to have battery registration capability, if not back to Amazon it goes.

My dealer actually quoted $200.00 for the battery ($50.00 cheaper than three years ago) + $110 (reduced from $190) for a grand total of $310+ Tax.
My hope is to buy the battery, take it home and register it.

I did buy the Carly Bluetooth OBD2 adapter and the software for your phone. I believe the adapter is $79 and the Carly software for Mini only was like $5/month. There is lots of fun stuff you can easily code in there.

Carly offers monthly sub? I thought it was now yearly. I will check again - update, it is billed annually.

I don't know how you've been successful with ISTA. My work with BMW's has been very painful because of it (or rather because of "not" it).

Seems like guys either have zero problems loading it or a world of pain and just can't get it to work. I was the latter.

How the heck did you get it to run and what are you running it on? I'm assuming a 4GB RAM, Win 10, pentium dual core, etc. Did you go Bimmerfest download or what? I found it useless.

works perfectly fine for me, 100s of forum members and all BMW/MINI/Rolls Royce dealers worldwide

search online car software forums for the latest download links

follow the included PDF instructions to the "t" and you will not have an issue

Yeah, just bought 4 TPMS valves to replace the originals. Needed them right away so I paid $600. OUCH!

FYI

the summer weather must have deteriorated the aluminum caps I had on the mini. Kinda got 3 off but the last one wouldn’t let go. The tires were stored in my garage, nice and dry so I have no idea what happened.
