I know this is an old thread, but if anyone doesn't care about steering wheel controls.. i have been using this with my android for 5 yrs now. It works well, and i can connect to it for streaming only. All phone calls go to the mini installed blue tooth.

I just purchased the tune2air WMA3000B. It doesn't show as an IPOD in my 2011 Countryman S. Is this the right model for my car? I'd like to be able to switch songs from the steering wheel and have the song title displayed. This unit doesn't do that.

We use the WMA1000 in our Countryman. It does everything you mentioned.

Supposedly the only difference is that the WMA3000B model has the ipod connection cable integrated into it. I don't have the Y cable and this unit has it built in.

Does the other unit see the bluetooth adapter as an Ipod?

It's only powered when you unlock your car (briefly) and when the key fob is inserted. At least with my R56.

Returned the WMA3000B and ordered the WMA1000 and a Y-cable. It should be here tomorrow. I'll update to see if this gives me the control I want.

Received the WMA1000 today. Spotify song titles show up and I can change songs with the steering wheel controls! It now see the tune2air as an iPod.

I have the Tune2Air unit in my 2014 R60. My wife has an iPhone and I have an Android phone. I cannot get my Android device to stop asking me to connect to the Tune2Air (even when the car is off and no key inside of it (I'm guessing the USB port is powered ALWAYS ON)).

My issue is that it won't connect to my wife's iPhone and will only connect to my Android phone. Even if I unpair it from my Android and try to force it to sync with the iPhone, it doesn't work.
