Me too. However you won't pass emissions as it deletes the kitty. I wonder about the other parts too, intercooler tube, air intake, etc. how that would effect the warrantee.
The Turbo heat shield is probably a good idea, especially if you're going to drive it hard and shouldn't effect the warrantee. But who knows. I'd definitely check with the dealer before I installed anything first tho.
Just my $0.02

Didn't love the sound though myself, hoping I can resist going down the aftermarket exhaust path again. But I do have to replace the tips.
As for warranty issues its a long debated topic, warranties can't just be voided, the dealership has to show that the mod caused (or attributed) to whatever failure your claiming. Of course they can say whatever they want at first and you would need to take them to court. The tolerance varies from dealership to dealership.

Yes, I've found that with my Superduty Diesel. Some dealerships are mod friendly some are not and are ready to void the warrantee in a heartbeat. Lots of people don't have the wherewithal to file a lawsuit in State Supreme Court either.
I did replace the exhaust on my diesel just so it breathes better not just for the sound. I also have a bunch of other mods but I won't bore you with telling you about them here. I will tell you though it's an 8000Lb Rocket Sled that gets 18MPG.
I don't plan on touching the CM other than maybe the turbo heat shield and only because it looks kewl. It's the little wife's car and she's not hauling any toys with it. That's my job.
I will however change the oil at 1200 miles myself and maintain it accordingly. Any turbocharged gasser that only holds 9 pints of oil, albeit synthetic, in the crankcase shouldn't wait to be changed every 12 months. Especially the first 12 months.
