Possible Configurator changes?

been playing the US MINI configurator. All looks the same, as best I can tell.

However, there appears to be some minor enhancements that many may overlook.

When I built my Pure Red CM in early February with Leatherette interior, my only interior options were Carbon Black Color Line or Dark Tobacco Color Line. Definitely on the muted side of things. Dark or darkerl

Well, it seems as though things may be opening up - I began building a car like mine, and this time, I could also choose the Pure Red or Polar Beige Color Lines. Still no Surf Blue Color line, but I can not allowing that with the Pure Red.

Perhaps there are some others things being opened up!?!?!?!

FYI!

Yep. I noticed that too on Polar Beige and Pure Red color lines. It should have been that way from Day 1 They also have the Convenience 2 package listed, the Flat Load Floor option listed and grayed out 18" anthracite wheels on some options (or vice versa).

If they add some decent exterior colors and a rear bench seat option they'll be in business!

They still got the hot as all get out Pure Red so we're doing OK.

Other changes make it a lot easier - but they do giveth and taketh away. No more 18" black wheels with a white top. As for the bench, you do know there's no more drive ins, right?

So now they will let you get the red colorline with the stock leatherette seats....if only they had this option when we ordered. That was the one thing we wanted but couldn't get because we didn't want upgraded seats. Never understood why it was greyed out with the standard leatherette in the first place. Oh well.

every time I saved our CM in the configurator with carbon black interior color, carbon black door panels with polar beige color line and re-opened it the configurator opened it with polar beige door panels and carbon black color line. completely opposite of what we wanted.

I must have re-configured it 10 times and saved it with the same results. Finally, I had to pull the page out of the mini brochure where they have a picture of it to make sure our MA understood exactly what we wanted. It was a bit frustrating.

Our MA did acknowledge that Mini was having issues with the configurator and that at a recent mini event she attended it was discussed. The MA's were told to report any problems their customers were relating. So it seems they are working on improving it.

That's the pick of the day for me. The color will really look stunning with my Old English Sheepdogs catching the breeze out the back windows. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
