You guys are making this extremely difficult...
I need another vehicle like I need a hole in the head but you guys are making this really difficult.
I’m afraid to take one for a test drive. I stopped at the dealer today and checked them out. I can’t decide between a white countryman or a black one. I typically stay away from black cars (though I think the countryman really looks fantastic in black)
I saw pics of Polojankin’s black Countryman and can’t get over how good it looks.
You guys are making this difficult.

I have a feeling that is what is going to happen to me when I test drive one on Saturday. I will have my spec sheet in hand to order if that is the case. This will be my 4th MINI (03 Cooper S, 05 Cooper S Cabrio and my latest 09 JCW). Although I no longer have the 03 or 05, I plan on keeping my JCW. (Rupert needs a big sister)! I will let everyone know when my Black/Black Cooper S All 4 is ordered!!!!!!!!

I have always said I would never own a black car, but after I saw the Absolute Black at the dealership I had to do a 180. It looked so classy
and the metallic sparkled much more than gray or blue.
I also usually don't like white, but the Countryman in white is also very nice.
Out of the two though, the black wins out for me too. Welcome to the
Absolute Club!!

Mark,
Catch this all black with JCW body kit. One of our locals up in Wyoming.
Check the leather, too!
Link to flickr pictures....
Just trying to help.
You could do my colors with matching roof.

That's funny as hell.... I've been talking about the Countryman and my wife says that once I start on something, I may as well go ahead because I've got a one track mind.
As far as projects done... my Harley I've been building for 2 years is done. An old el camino is 99.9% done, just gotta dig up a few parts, my H2 came back from CA and is completely done. The mini is done.
That only leaves a blown big block in my S10. I just received a precision industries torque converter for it last week.
Point is, once that's done... I'll be bored.
And yes, I'll give my infamous BS speech now at the beginning.
"Yes, I'm going to leave it stock...."

Mark,
I actually test drove one this past weekend. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the CM. And yes I can see myself buying one in the future. I told my wife I have found our next car....... .
Buy one and you can then change your screen name to OC....Orangecountryman.

two things I'm waiting for are:
The rear bench seat.
A WRC/JCW type model.
I as well as the guy's on Top Gear think the bucket seats with a stupid rail separating them is just plain "Stupid" When you fold the seats down you have a rail separating them. The bench seat in the back just makes more sence in a car like this.

When the seats are folded down, they don't "go over" the rail to hide it???

I don't think so.
How can the seats go down over the rail and hide it with a bunch of stupid cup holders and accessories sticking up. From the shape of the seat backs it looks as though there will be spaces on both sides of the seat backs.
Anybody that has a countryman can please chime in and inform us how the floor looks with the bucket seats folded down. Pictures would be nice.

MINI is supposed to be coming out with a piece to cover the exposed boot for when the piece is flipped forward.
I didn't want to wait so I made a folding platform that covers most of the area of the rear seats when they are folded down. There are some pictures in a post I made in the Optional Rear Bench Seat thread. I would provide a link, but haven't figured out how.

I'd like to see what the flat load floor option actually looks like for $250. Being in the custom fabrication business I know that to build a nice flat load platform for the CM out of quality synthetic material just the material cost alone would be at least that much. Granted I am not mass producing them (yet) but the optional Protective Rear Cover for the rear seats is $265 and it looks like a piece of carpet to me.
