Hey I'm taking delivery of my 2013 CMS this week and the first thing on the mod list is a custom exhaust setup!

From the look of the stock muffler, it looks like a Camaro style muffler (one inlet two outlets, transverse) would fit great, has anyone tried this? Looking at a Magnaflow 12265. It looks just like the one in their catback system.

The Camaro's might be a bit big but, it's the same design as most the aftermarket kits.

Check out the NM kit.... http://www.nm-eng.com/260/0/0/2864/n...st-system.html

You might be able to make that fit, but it will take a lot of pipe to get around to the inlet side. Ideally you'd want something T-shaped.

I have the NM exhaust and I really like it.

Here's photos of my install and that is the same # you mention:

For a really clean install check out this one:

Good Luck and Enjoy!

Thanks sbdubya, that's exactly what I'm looking to do, cool setup!

Did you replace the stock resonator or leave it? How is the sound relative to the stock setup?

Hey erblo,
Left the resonator in, did not know how loud it would be without. Really like the sound. It has a low rumble to it, when I get on it it let's itself be known without being annoying. Sounds great in Sport mode especially when it is downshifting and the pops and burble happen.
No droning at any speed or constant speed. It's a great muffler and a lot cheaper than the other set ups.

good luck.

Sounds like what I'm going for, I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks!
