New Owner, lots of questions, factory workshop manual ?
I'm new here. My wife bought a pepper white 2013 Cooper Roadster about a week ago . Beautiful car, a base Cooper (not S) with automatic, sat radio and heated seats. I know, I know a manual and turbo engine would be more fun, but it's her car not mine. As a used car really it's hard to beat. A heck of a lot more fun than something practical like a Ford Fusion....no offense. It's in like new condition with just under 9000 miles and has never seen any snow or salt so everything still looks new underneath. PO used it as a toy during the summer. Really it's a crying shame to see her drive it this winter in Chicago weather. I also have 2 old gen1 Honda Insights so maybe I can convince her to forgo the heated seats and drive one of the old Insights when the nasty weather arrives .
Since I'll be the one working on this car after the warranty expires (April), I am looking for a factory manual to start my Mini education. Thought I found one at a UK site, emanualonline.com. They listed a factory manual for 2008-2013 Mini's so I paypal the $27USD and received a downloaded pdf manual. It includes a whopping 8604 pages, but from what I can tell the vast majority of it is for 1st generation minis . Nothing specific to the R59 anywhere inside, like the power roof mechanism or active spoiler. It doesn't even include info on changing the oil and filter.
I see there is a Bentley manual for around $100. Maybe that's the best I'm going to find? From past experience a factory manual has always been best so I'm reluctant to pay $100 for a generic manual. Anyone know if a real BMW/MINI factory issued manual exists (outside of the dealership) and where I can get one?
Thx, Matt

There is an online workshop manual but it only covers some R56, R55, and R57. Does not cover the R58 or R59 specifically. The Bentley manual gets you all the main things shared with the R56. Like the engine, brakes, maintenance...etc
