Just picked it up. 8 weeks from contract to pickup.
Most every option except Harmon Kardon and cold weather package (no need in SWFL!).

 

Congrats on getting in before the wire. Looks great.

 

So far....1 day..more fun than my 1999 boxster (bought new in '99)...and reminiscent of my OLD Heatley 3000 (bought used in '67).

 

Congrat, Emauss. You Roadster looks fantastic.

 

Sad but true, the door closes on the MINI Roadster's short lived production history. The Roadster is the most fun I've ever had in a car. May the Roadster's history continue with the men and woman who own this fantastic little machine.

That is a very nice design. Would love to see it in person.

But remember that this is a bigger-than-Mini so expect it to be priced accordingly - it looks like it will be a straight competitor to the Audi TT.

 

I just picked up my R59-S a month ago. (loving it!). I guess I could be ready for a new version of it in 2018...

Possibly . . . I guess BMW Mini has a hard time being a competitor to Mazda
The financial dynamic is certainly interesting has there are so many more options for roadster up market then down it's too bad they would do the same when I feel roadster leave well within small cars... not especially inline with Mini's history of making a car affordable for anyone either, but that's old history now...
I guess within roadster's niche market increasing the margins makes it easier... still a lot of competition up there including BMW's own models (all convertibles included)...

Yea thinking her in the states about 30-40 K usd my guess.

Fingers crossed it make it to production.

 

At that high price Mini will sell even less units than the Roadster sold.

 

I'm not holding my breath. I'll hand onto the JCW Coupe for a few more years, it's not boring me yet! Last time I checked Scottsdale MINI still had a JCW Roadster. My friend test drove it then bought an F56.

 

How much were they asking for the JCW Roadster?

 

Last JCW Roadster here in Des Moines has been sold. Had MSRP of 45k

Very cool and rewarding to see that the MINI Roadster scored at the top of the model quality index. I received a survey and participated in the Strategic Vision survey process last year, and haven't had any problems in 2+ years of ownership.

 

That's great. Its also really fun to drive.

 

I just did a national search and there are just six new JCW Roadsters left in the U.S.. I have a couple coming on Friday from Iowa to get our manual JCW and we have one more left that is automatic.

Send me a PM if you're interested. We also have about 12 S Roadsters left. We intentionally stocked-up on them and now have people calling from all over the country.
