Fog Lights and DRL/Eyelid/whatever-it's-called

I'm going to be replacing my foglight bulbs with either the PIAA, Hoen, or Nokya deep yellow bulbs and I'd like to also replace the old-looking yellowish lights that are used as DRLs that some people call "eyelids" that share the same housing. I'd like these to be bright-ish and match the factory bi-xenon HIDs as close as possible.

I must have read 20 pages about LED bulbs that fit 194 and 5W5 which is what we have in the DRL housing and I couldn't quite determine if anyone has found a LED cluster bulb that won't throw bulb-out warnings in the car.

Anyone mind throwing me some links to a thread or product that WILL work in the DRL/eyelid without errors?

Fogs I'm considering:

Save your money on the fog light bulbs and use yellow tint on the lens. A tint shop can do it for less then 10bucks.

I've thought about that, but despite my wallet agreeing with you I like the look of keeping the lenses clear/white when the lights are off, I like the look better on a black car.

I'm probably going to go with the Nokya, as they're pretty cheap. I haven't found a comparison between the ones I'm looking at done by the same person so I'm hoping they're a fairly pure yellow.

Alternatively maybe I should consider 2500k or 3000k HIDs... but I worry about problems I've read about. Despite being confident in my skills, skills can't make up for shoddy made-in-china-for-as-cheap-as-possible kits.

Perhaps:

Nice that it's fully plug and play and will avoid bulb out errors... hmmm

Bringing back this thread as a double-check. I think I'm going to order the Morimoto Elite HID kit for my fogs

I'm still trying to decide what I want to stick in the parking lights to replace those murky yellow bulbs. LEDs would be nice but I'd be open to suggestions for anything that's bright-ish and a color match.

Thanks!
