Blue R59 Sighting, Pax River?

Anyone want to fess up? Saw them this morning, going through Pax River's gate 2...

Considering that they are rarer than Coupes (and rocking horse crap), I figured I'd ask...

Nice ride.

Might be mine--Thanks! Right now I'm wishing it was summer again...getting pretty chilly to put the top down.

Yeah, I think it was you. I was at the gate (in a POS Jetta rental) and looked over and said "Holy *****, a Roadster!". My co-worker thought it was a pretty snappy looking car. I told her, you should see how they drive!

Nice to see some of us "rare" MINIs out on the road and in the wild...

Must be nice to drive it on Buse road in the summer, around the runway and water (though having to wait for the planes to cross the road occasionally, must be annoying at times).

We have quite a few MINIs on base but I haven't seen another Roadster yet. It is nice in the summer to eat lunch out by the water sometimes. Get to watch the planes for free

San Diego must be pretty good MINI territory too!

Yeah, a lot more Roadsters and Coupes around here in San Diego (I've seen two Coupes on the road and two Roadsters at the local club meetings/runs). I sure wish the rental companies had Mini's, I think that Mini would sell a lot more if folks had a chance to drive one as a rental.

As to watching the planes for free, yep! Not sure I'd want to get dusted by an F-18 chaser or a X-47B coming in off the water when I had the top down though. Could be kinda loud...
