Very nice!

CR&PW&JB Oct 17, 2012 07:20 PM

Verrrrry nice!

Do you mean opti-coat? Clear coat goes on at the factory, of course.

scribbledpaper Oct 17, 2012 07:25 PM

Hah! Yeah, sorry, I meant clear coat/clear bra, whatever it is! :)

And the stripes are black carbon fiber. Man did they ever shine in the sunlight!

Congrats! Nice ride.

Cool... you'll have to post a close-up shot of those stripes.

Do all Roadster with driving lights have them mounted that far apart? Guess I'm used to my R50 and R53 with driving lights being closer together.

You should be able to see the stripes closer in this picture!

I think that's the "standard" R55/6/8/9 mounting location. Check out my sig. These may look wider due to the sport (vice traditional bonnet) stripes.

Sweet Roadster!

My driving lights seem just as widely spaced, but they are more or less aligned with my stripes, so I'm happy with this placement.

And BTW, scribbled, nice car!

Yep, appears that is the standard driving light position on the gen2 MINIs.

I miss the giant 100W Cibie lamps I used to have on my old 1972 and 1984 classics when I was young, on brackets I made myself, and oh, those Cibie Biode headlamps with the custom wiring to keep the dip and 100W main beams on together... You could hear the alternator screaming with them all on!

JMorganJr Oct 18, 2012 08:50 AM

Nice ride!

Very Nice! I like the carbon look for the stripes!
