What's on your Openometer?

Just happened to catch mine at a milestone:

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-L...2006.45.52.jpg
At the average speed on the computer (33mph) and at my 6600 miles that means I've been top-down for almost exactly half of my driving time, not bad since April in a very odd summer weather-wise.

I thought this thing was a worthless gimmick, but I'm obsessed now. I can't wait for the needle to whip back to zero, and the flashing lights every seven hours are hypnotic...

Remarkably similar to my stats. Also an April delivery, 6825 miles at an average mph of 36.8, top down time = 101:16, for a percentage of a bit over 54%.

I'm sure my stats are skewed as I purchased mine on 8/21, but I have 437 miles with 12:51 hrs of top down and avg 37.6 mph - giving me roughly a 93% top down ratio! I'm sure as the winter moves in, that will change big time!

as of this morning 240:30 and 12500 miles wont even attempt the ratio thing as my math skills are seriously lacking.

hoping to hit 300 before winter sets in!
forgot how wonderful life is in a convertible

Wow.. Just checked, I'm up to 128:54 with 3412 miles.. Pretty good for such a damn hot summer!

This thread got me to look and see where I'm at. Damned hot summer here as well, plus a lot of rain. Running top down around 52%.

Still a worthless gimmick that I wish could be swapped out for a temp gauge.

Agreed! Too bad there isn't an easy way to delete it!

97:52 Hours with the top down with only 2703 miles. I think I have probably only clocked 2 hours max with the top up. For some reason my Milage/MPH says I have only driven for 96 hours. Fortunately it has barely rained since I got her at the end of July. Granted I have put the heater and seat warmer to good use and discovered if you are going fast enough it doesn't really matter if it is raining.

The weather will change soon enough so I am sure that ratio will reverse sooner than later.

Let's see, math check here. 97:52 top down divided by 96 hours driving is about 102% top down! I think you take the prize!

I guess the average MPH does not include time when I am completely stopped in traffic or lights but the Openometer is still running. Considering my commute, that doesn't surprise me.

Needless to say, the top is very rarely up.

3936 miles, 33:44 open time, 45.4 ave MPH = 38.9% open. Would probably be higher but my commute generally includes some Thruway driving and I close the top. 80MPH and lots of trucks is no fun with top down!

Openometer

I have 1650 miles at an average spped of about 40 (don't know exactly since I reset it several times) and 28 hrs 45 min. If my math is orrect, that is about 70%. Would have done better if I had the Roadster during the major part of our drought here in the midwest. Recently we have gotten rain and cooler weather so my open time is less.

cube17576 Sep 27, 2012 10:25 AM

5500 miles with an average of 44 mph and 91 hours on the clock, so that is about 73% top down.

roadsterman Sep 28, 2012 08:57 PM

101 hours top down with 107 hours total drive time = 94% down. I've been enjoying the warmer half of the year while it lasts!
