Cravenspeed Stubby

Just fitted a Stubby. Super simple, looks great!

Looks good!

Just an FYI, the Alta shorty antennas do NOT sit flush....I tried the one on my wife's 09 MCS and it looks horrible...was too flared at the bottom and stuck out. Got the stock MINI shorty antenna free from a friend so I went with that.

looks great Spiney! i will pick one probably up from the Mini dealer as it's the same price as the Cravenspeed one. was it simple to unscrew the original and put the new stubby on?

Really easy. They supply two threaded inserts, a thick one and a thin one. Pick the one that fits into the car (I think it was the thinner one, but don't quote me on that) then just screw it on.

What was Mini thinking putting that stupid big antenna on the little roadster? It's bad enough on the hatchback.

I want to know why we have that ugly satellite antenna on the trunk lid...why don't the Coupe models have it? And I was told I couldn't order the car without it

I think its under the roof fixed spoiler on the coupe.

They were thinking ! Ah ha! One more aftermarket item we can sell...

( I don't really mind the original antenna )
