I need new headlight rings!

Mine are chrome (2014 Coupe). The left one's "chrome" (which is more like shiny thick aluminum foil with plastic under it) is coming off. Can I easily replace these myself with black ones? Looks like they're clipped on the headlight cutout holes in the bonnet. Chrome ones would be OK too I like the chrome look in general. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just ordered a pair of black ones from ECS Tuning, via their link on this forum. Total was $200 including the 12 clips. If ECS sees this can I ask if this is pretty easy to do myself? There happens to be an auto body shop less than a mile from my house if it's hard to do. I don't have many tools. Thanks.

At $200, you have been ripped off. You should have search on Ebay or Amazon. You would have find an OEM new set for about $70.

Many Mini dealers have good deals on OEM parts replacement if you ask and explain what you need. Even some speed shops have Mini trim parts they prefer to sell at large discounts prices than keeping in their inventory.

A year ago, I found a brand new OEM chrome upper grille trim with all clips for $40 including shipping. If you damage one, you will see how expensive they are to replace since all Mini trim is cheap plastic everywhere.

Thanks for the order.

Yep they come with the clips on them, MINI has raised the prices on these over the years back in 2017~2018 they used to be like ~50 a pieces retail, last time i checkedthey are made in italy(Italy stamping), that's how you can tell if they are genuine on the back. Watch those people on ebay, They steal our pics all the time and then say genuine and it ships from oversea and you dont know what will show up. My guess is they are knock offs or used. If its an official MINI dealership then it should be fine.

My Old R56 with them installed.

I ordered a set of clips too, for about $27. So I shouldn't need those, you said the rings come with the necessary clips? I didn't say in the description that the rings come with the clips as I recall.

Ok, yep the clips are on the back and come with the rings, sorry you did not see that. You can return them or flip them on here, people are always loosing or breaking those clips.

I put 'em on last Friday, they look great! Of course one of the supplied clips flew off/broke so it's good I bought more. I've still got the other 11 clips if anyone's interested.

I wonder how hard it is to replace the tail light rings with black. they're a lot smaller and there's no hood to raise to get underneath them.
