Tire Sensor part

Hello. Discount Tire Direct installed Schrader EZ-Sensor Programmable TPMS Sensor -33500 on my r58 but they don't work (wont reset) I checked with Advanced auto parts and O'reilly parts, and they both said the part doesn't fit. Discount Tire insists they do. anyone?

for Discount Tire something I had on my wall when I was a 'code writer'

When you are sure everything is right

and the program does not work

something you are sure of

is wrong

possibly they have the wrong frequency. This is what Outmotoring saya on their listing for TPMS sensor kits:

Please note, as of the Sept 2009 build date MINI has a different frequency for the TPMS sensors. Please note the option on the drop down menu for build date and slight price change for the newer TPMS kit. Also, the Gen3 MINI ("F" series models) use a different kit as well. Please select accordingly.

So the next question is how do I now fix it if they put the wrong frequency in. ? If I have new tires installed, will it be fixed when they set the tires, or do I need new sensors?

wrong frequency = wrong sensors so far as I know

which is why outmotoring cautions 'buy the correct ones'
