Any FEMALE owners of Coupes?

Even though MINI aimed the model at younger men , I wonder if many females own one. Not drive one...but OWN one.

There are 3 of us here that I can think of off the top of my head.

Why thank you- it was implied that I was a female by the mere fact that I posted in the forum, but if you require verbiage stating the obvious, then hear this- I am woman, hear me roar.

Sam can be short for Samantha.:eek2:

EDIT: Sams57 replied before my post posted.

Sams57 04-17-2012 05:42 AM

:-) thanks, Julien - actually it's Sami Sue. And my other car is a '57 Chevy wagon, hence the name Sams57.

I think James' statement had more to do with being the owner of a MINI Coupe than being female. But congrats on your new Countryman! :)

Woohoo! me too!
I just wish my husband was jealous of my ride... He drives a subaru outback which he loooves. I made him come in my car last night and when we got home he complained that it was too uncomfortable and the ride was too harsh... He was stressed out because he felt like I couldn't see out the right (I could), and because I drive too fast for his taste. ;) He thinks the car is too small for him (because he's such a giant at 5'10").

Ah well... he can have fun in his boring old Subaru, and I'll tear up the road in my car!

(oh yeah, and Alex is short for Alexis)

CR&PW&JB 07-13-2012 03:18 PM

Very hard for me to comprehend anyone not liking a Coupe but hey, at least you won't have to worry about the Hubby taking it for joyrides behind your back, Alex.:lol::cool:

lisemini 07-13-2012 03:22 PM

To increase passenger legroom, remove the hard-foam footrest under the floor mat. Pull really hard, it's held on w/rubber cement. It'll provide an extra 4"+ of legroom, and you can always put it back in if a shorter passenger needs it. My 5'10" hubby is much happier now when he rides w/me!

CR&PW&JB 07-13-2012 03:26 PM

Geez... I'm also 5'10". Going to have to go test drive a Coupe soon to make sure I'll be comfy in the driver's seat.

:sly: Like I need an excuse to go test drive one. Haha... chomping at the bit to order one. Just have to wait for my son to get his driver's license. He's not using my new Coupe to learn to drive !

Female owner here as well, loving it, and already starting the mods of exhaust and blacking out the chrome!

Ugh, the chrome. Why so much, MINI??
But since I'm leasing I'm just going to have to live with it, i guess.

er. 07-24-2012 06:20 AM

This is my first post, and I realize it's premature. That said...as soon as I finish agonizing over the color, I will place the order and the 8-10 week countdown will begin. (Leaning wayyyy towards red currently; I wish they had a non-peppery white.)

And I'm a girl.
