Thumbs up What Did Your Mini Do For You Today?

It's only the second week of February and, with temps in the low 70's in North Georgia, what better time to sneak in a drive?

Downshifting through corners, sipping on a full tank of gas, the spoiler up most of the time... THIS is why I love the Coupe -- what it does for me.

My R58 is just waiting to get out the snow finally melted here. Spoiler is up even if it sets back here

Bunch of fair weather pansies. 12° yesterday and 14° this morning, top down and off to coffee with the regular gang reprobates.

yesterday...it got me through the 8-10" of snow on my street... this morning it helped me power through the wall of snow at the end of my driveway (with some advanced help of a shovel) after a snow plow created a barrier between me and my bed after a night shift and being awake for 28 hours. I always tell people that I drive a MINI Cooper (S) here in SW Michigan during winter, and aside from a couple of issues on my street, which were easily rectified with a shovel that I keep in the boot, I get around just find. Sometimes I turn off the DSC if I'm just spinning and not going anywhere. Admittedly, the car acts like a snow plow if there's any significant depth that hasn't been driven through much, but once I get on the main roads, I do great. Having a Manual helps a ton with both starting and stopping. I see pick up trucks sliding and spinning and I just try to stay out of the way. If we got more than a foot overnight, I would be in some trouble, but (fingers crossed) that hasn't happened yet.

Aonyxdo262...

It sounds like your car, in true Churchill/British fashion, "Never gives up and never gives in."

Motor on!

My 'little Diva' has taken another step if forcing me into abject poverty. This 'modding' thing has got to stop...at least before I end up homeless and on the street.
